Alfred & Ann's first son Leonard Challinor was Born in 1911 in Leek Staffs he married Lily Harrison in 1935 He served in the Territorial Army from the 193s and from 1939 up to 1947 served with the Royal Engineers at home and over seas in and around Egypt his rank was Sargent he finished his army in Jerusalem in 1947 and was on the reserve list until around 1953
